Confederate in Australia, Giveaway!

AARON Bain Racing and Summit Bloodstock have amplified their promotion of the $2.1mil TAB Eureka by offering a free service to boom North American stallion Confederate.

Bain and Summit had their biggest thrill in harness racing when they used their slot to partner with Emma Stewart’s four-year-old Encipher, winner of last year’s inaugural TAB Eureka at Menangle.

“We love the whole concept and have been huge supporters since it was first mooted,” Summit’s Jamie Durnberger-Smith said. “Last year was an amazing night and an incredible thrill.

“We’re keen to support and promote the TAB Eureka in any way we can, and we’ve worked with HRA on a way to reward owners of mares who were served by Sires subject to the Stallion Registration Fee in the 22/23 season, which was the first year of the race.”

On Friday September 6, at 6:45pm, during the first ever online Racenet Calcutta for the TAB Eureka, all mares who fit the criteria will go into a draw where 10 will be selected and randomly assigned to one of the starters in Saturday week’s second running of the TAB Eureka.

The mare that is assigned to the winner will earn its connections a free service to Confederate, who stands at Cobbitty Equine.

“It’s aimed to reward those contributing to Stud Book and in turn, events such as The TAB Eureka, and result in the highest group of quality mares being selected,” Durnberger-Smith said.

“We want to acknowledge and give back to those Breeders who invest so heavily in our sport.

“Confederate is the best horse to come and stand in Australia in the flesh since Somebeachsomewhere, who only came briefly.

“He’s fastest three-year-old of all time and the 2023 US Pacer and Horse of the Year.

“He’s also a son of the siring sensation, Sweet Lou.”

Fittingly, last year's inaugural TAB Eureka winner Encipher's owner Tyson Linke booked the mare into Confederate as soon as he learned he would stand in Australia.
